Since 1996, the sharp and discerning Wallpaper* eye has been wandering the world looking out for wonderful discoveries to buy. As the global authority on design for three decades, the always-international Wallpaper* brand has become synonymous with a certain global aesthetic, picking up on new furniture pieces, lighting, ceramics, kitchenware, textiles, clothes, accessories, luggage, foodstuffs, cosmetics and anything else useful and beautiful that piques our interest. 

Wallpaper* magazine’s pages and digital stories are made up of the stuff that we’ve seen or picked up on our travels. (Wallpaper* always packs an extra bag in its suitcase, for all the extra items we accumulate on trips.) With a track record of discovering next-generation talents, new technologies and innovations, forward-thinking processes and groundbreaking fashions, Wallpaper* is changing the way the world thinks about design, one exquisite item at a time. Suffice to say, shopping is always on our radar.  

Over the years we’ve had a bit of help with our shopping too. Our contributors from the worlds of art, design, architecture, and fashion – extending to guest editors such as Jeff Koons, Zaha Hadid, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Armani, Frank Gehry, David Lynch, and more – give us ideas for art direction, and often tell us about the independent finds they’d discovered on their global adventures. 

Now Wallpaper* is teaming up with another international brand to raise the bar on its shopping game even higher. With over 175 properties worldwide, in the USA, South America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, Renaissance Hotels has a fluid and kinetic international clientele, curious to explore new cities, intent on creating memories through spontaneous discovery. With its new R FINDS platform, Renaissance’s in-house Navigators, alongside Wallpaper* curators, and a trans-Atlantic contributing content creator team, have created a genuinely global shopping experience, open to everyone, at all hours, across every time zone. 

R-Finds compiles an edit of items from local stores and galleries, designers and craftspeople, and makes them available to the rest of the world. Vintage posters from Chicago, Dominican coffee and a handmade surfboard from Hawaii, a bow tie from Charleston, and much, much more.
